CEO / Chief Design
Co-founded and led the design for my start up, Idyoma. I raised over $200,000. I successfully managed developers, freelance designers, marketing and legal, for growth of 250,000 downloads in 6 months. Through design iterations, we were able to achieve a paywall conversion rate to 10% (the mobile app industry standard is 4-8%).
Managed designers
I have been assigned designers in all of my corporate experiences. Under my guidance, designers were tasked with supporting me while we tackle varrying enterprise initiatives. For example, at Abbott Labs, two junior designers help me maintain the design system for the award winning Ultreon 3.0 Angioplasty medical device.
Research
At all my experiences, I worked first-hand with users and customers. At Abbott, I was charged with reaching out to, and visiting our network of cardiologists, collecting direct user feedback. At Idyoma, I hosted user nights, where our initial MVP was tested. I collected feedback on the app iterations, as we all practiced speaking a new language over a beer!
Industry trends
I have given numerous speeches and roundtables supporting design initiatives in entrepreneurship as an alumni at D'amore McKim School of Business (Northeastern University, Boston, MA). I was also invited to pitch at a university level event at Harvard, with representation from Cornell, MIT, Boston College, UPenn, etc.
